Large take off place on the St Quinis massif. South side, visible from Landing place. Possibility to land near the take off. Needs good skill of landing on small area. High trees all around. Details here: http://aspat.e-monsite.com... ONLY 4x4 vehicles can use the very bad track leading to take off. Large landing place, with car-park. You must take care of downwind due to the forest on south part, high gradient when the wind is strong. In the afternoon during summer time, be careful of strong thermals in front of the landing area. Details here: http://aspat.e-monsite.com... Landing place is located on North side of Sainte Anastasie sur Issole village. Between railroad and St Quinis massif. Car-park available on the landing place. Take off access walking on a stony path climbing to the relief (about 20Mn, 1000m distance, 180m level). WARNING !!! Site on a military zone where helicopters are flying a lot. Flyable only if authorization is allowed by the military base. Info given everyday on the club website must be read before to go to the take off: http://aspat.e-monsite.com... Normally, if our area is open, we must fly on the space allowed and limited to level 650m ASL above sea level) about 15m above highest relief summit of St Quinis. Radio equipment is mandatory to fly here, tuned on FFVL frequency (143.9875 Mhz). Thanks to respect those rules for maintaining the site flyable. Local pilots will be happy to inform you. WARNING !!! Flyable site when wind is coming from SSE & S. For E & O winds impossible to fly due to high downwind on the relief.
